Sounds like last Saturday for me. These two creeps cornered me against the bar when I had a loaded tray. They'd been grabbing my butt all night when I walked past their table but this was just appalling.

Thank God Ro saw them and made them stop it before it got really out of hand.

I would have handled it myself, I usually do, but my hands were full and the one cretin put his hand UP my skirt. I thought Ro was going to get violent for a bit there but he didn't. They did leave though.

He would have done the same for any of the waitresses, it wasn't that it was me.

Up your skirt? Seriously? Oh man, I'd be unemployed, cause I would have castrated him. With a nutcracker.

I'm not a fan of violence.

I'm not usually either, but there's being groped and there's 'they don't pay me enough to take this shit'.

It's not like it happens all the time. I mean, sure some people get grabby but I ignore that. These two just had too much to drink and Ro was there. I was fine.

Fortunately. What if he hadn't been?

I'm sure the bartender would have noticed or someone else in the band. I would have yelled louder had Ro not come over when he did.

Lucky he did. Yelling doesn't usually work.

It generally gets someone's attention and that's what matters. We really don't usually have that kind of problem. We don't draw a rough crowd. Some people do get carried away though.

And the drunker they are, the worse it is. I hate working weekends but I love it. We're busy, so tips are great, but people are off, so they drink more. Some of them get downright obnoxious.

I actually love working Saturdays. Fridays are hit or miss because it really depends on the band but Saturdays are always a full house and Breaker Street.

It's great when the crowd's not too crazy or too drunk. Game nights are pretty fun, too. We're usually packed with Cubbies or Sox fans.

I'm glad we don't draw too many sports fanatics. Pool players and music lovers mostly.

The sports fans aren't that bad. Most of the diehards have tickets to the games. The others usually spread out at the bars and watch the action.

Not at the Call. We don't have the big screens or anything. Mike, the owner, would rather invest in the sound equipment.

Wish Joe would invest more in the sound equipment.

She sighs and rolls her eyes.

The White Sox are more likely to win the Series before that'll happen.

I really don't fallow...baseball, is that what they are, sports at all.

Yeah, they're baseball. And let me put it to you this way: they won the Series in 2005. Last time they won before that? 1917.

I guess they aren't such a great team, huh?

She laughs.
